You may be asking yourself, “What in the world is a Disconnect/Reconnect“?
That is a fair question. We kind of coined the phrase 20 years ago.
The term was in fact birthed out of a very niche service when relocating computers, phones, printers, and other
electronics.
In short, it describes how our crew is called in on “Special Teams” to assist in the relocating of computer workstations, disconnecting and preparing them for transport, and then reconnecting them at the new office.
THE DISCONNECT
● Unplug all computers / electronics
● Unplug all computer accessories
● Monitor power cord
● Speakers
● Keyboards
● Mouse USBs
● Routers and Switches
● Wireless Access Points
● Storage Drives
● Power Bars
● Phones
● Printers & Fax
● POS terminals
● Bag and tag everything according to Moving Instructions
THE RECONNECT
● We plug everything back the way it was before!
Pricing varies depending on the details.
As a rule our team will charge $50-$120 per station, for a full disconnect/reconnect.
Note: as soon as we have to use a drill or any tools, a different rate applies.
Some micelllaneous variables to consider…
- Are there keyboard trays to be removed and re-installed?
- Do the monitors need to be remounted with brackets?
- Will there be any wall mounts requited?
- Are we expected to move the equipment?
- Will we be required to turn the equipment back on and ensure everything is running?
- Will there be new computers and such expected to be mounted and connected?
